Monthly Salary: $3,098
JOB SUMMARY:
Receives calls from the public and other agencies concerning complaints, crimes, police emergencies and non-emergencies, Fire/EMS, and other calls for service. Dispatches orders to appropriate police radio patrol units, Fire/EMS and other personnel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
| Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License | |
| Must possess a High School Diploma or GED | |
| Must be able to type 35 wpm | |
| Must successfully complete The Perfex Test |
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
| Basic knowledge of computer-aided dispatch system, operation and utilization of the computerized database | |
| Working knowledge of the Dictaphone and TDD operations | |
| Demonstrated ability in preparing, maintaining, and updating of reports and files | |
| Strong interpersonal skills in presenting information and interacting with the public | |
| Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a high-volume, high-pressure work environment | |
| Certifications in Public Safety Telecommunications and TCIC/NCIC are desired |
