Monthly Salary: $4,117 (with 2+ years of Experience)
$3,762 (less than 2 years experience/no experience)

 

JOB SUMMARY:
Patrols assigned district to control traffic, prevent crime or disturbance of peace, perform preliminary investigations and arrest violators.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school or G.E.D. Certification, and a minimum of 30 hours of college course work (30 hours of college course work waived if certified peace officer or with three years military experience with an honorable discharge)

Must successfully complete the Departments Field Training Program

Must be able to obtain valid Texas Drivers License

Must meet the qualifications standards required by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCLEOSE)

Must be able to pass the physical agility test

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills in presenting information and interacting with the public

Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-pressure work environment
