Monthly Salary: $4,117 (with 2+ years of Experience)
$3,762 (less than 2 years experience/no experience)
JOB SUMMARY:
Patrols assigned district to control traffic, prevent crime or disturbance of peace, perform preliminary investigations and arrest violators.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school or G.E.D. Certification, and a minimum of 30 hours of college course work (30 hours of college course work waived if certified peace officer or with three years military experience with an honorable discharge) |
Must successfully complete the Departments Field Training Program |
Must be able to obtain valid Texas Drivers License |
Must meet the qualifications standards required by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCLEOSE) |
Must be able to pass the physical agility test |
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills |
Strong interpersonal skills in presenting information and interacting with the public |
Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-pressure work environment |
