Bedford Citizen Observation Program

What is the Bedford Citizen Observation Program?

The Bedford Police Department is seeking homeowners and businesses in the City of Bedford who have security camera systems to participate in a new program designed to assist officers in solving crimes. The Bedford Citizen Observation Program (BCOP) is a voluntary registry that officers can quickly access and make contact with members that may have captured video footage from their security cameras if a crime occurs in their area. Video is a very important part in helping to identify the criminal. By taking part in this program you are taking ownership in the crime fighting process to help make Bedford a safer place to live.
